This oil is cold pressed from needles of Black Spruce trees in British Columbia. This smell takes us back to hiking mountain trails and crisp winter mornings. Supporting local is important to us and from harvest, through production, this oil is 100% Canadian made.

Black Spruce needles have been used in medicine making for relief from coughs and to soothe sore muscles and joints.  Diffuse this sharp, woodsy scent to promote clarity and help clean your air.

Description: Commonly referred to as White Spruce, this is a large conifer tree that grows up to 50 meters tall. It produces small brown cones and has an estimated life span of 1,200 years and is very similar to Tsuga Canadensis, with very slight differences. Historically, Native North Americans heated the branches in steam baths called sweat lodges. By boiling the twigs and cones in maple syrup, they also made a type of beer.

Aromatic Summary: A middle note with a medium aroma, White Spruce Essential Oil has a pleasant balsamic scent that is sweet with light fruity notes.

Blends With: Pine, Cedarwood, Galbanum, Benzoin, Lavender and Rosemary.

 

Cautions: We do not recommend consuming essential oils orally. Dilute before use; may cause skin irritation in some individuals, so a skin test is recommended prior to use. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. For best results Diffuse or use topically with a carrier oil.
