DIY Rollers

Roller bottles are a great way to experience the benefits of essential oils, especially on the go! I love being able to quickly them on and know that I am using something natural while still reaping the benefits from the ingredients. I love experimenting with my favourite oils to make new blends for rollers. They are versatile and easy to pop in my purse or diaper bag on the go.


Our essential oils, both singles and blends, are extremely concentrated. They are 100% pure and undiluted. This is what you want when adding them into a diffuser so that you get maximum potency and benefit. When making a roller to apply topically, it is important to remember to dilute your essential oils with a carrier oil. Some of our favourites are fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil.


You will need 10 mL roller bottles, your favourite single or essential oil blends and a carrier oil of your choice. Here are a few of our go-to roller bottle blends!


Relief (for when you have a stubborn pain in your neck, or a headache that won’t go away!):

30-40 drops of MyBRAINE blend

Top with fractionated coconut oil (or carrier oil of your choice)

Shake gently before use


Get Better is my go to during cold and flu season and with littles in school and daycare we can’t get enough. Just remember when applying to littles you will need to dilute the essential oils more. We rub this one on the bottoms of our feet at bedtime and cover with socks.

Get Better:

20 drops of Moonlighter

10 drops of Lemon

10 drops of Peppermint

10 drops of Oregano

Top with fractionated coconut oil (or carrier oil of your choice)

Shake gently before use

**If applying to littles, I would dilute this further. For under age 5 I would 8 drops of Moonlighter, 3  of Lemon, 3 of Peppermint and 2 of Oregano. Over the age of 5 and up to teenager, I would dilute by half of the original recipe. Make sure to top the 10 mL roller with your choice of carrier oil.


Wake up.I love this one when I have reached my caffeine limit for the day. You can run this one on your wrists or neck. (just remember that citrus oils are photosensitive so don’t apply this one when you’re headed to the beach)

10 drops of Lemon

10 drops of Lime

10 drops of Grapefruit

10 drops of Orange

10 drops of Peppermint

Top with fractionated coconut oil (or carrier oil of your choice)

Shake gently before use


Stress Less is one my husband loves and generally keeps within reach at all times, especially during report card season.

30 drops of Stress Free blend

15 drops of Cedarwood

Top with fractionated coconut oil (or carrier oil of your choice)

Shake gently before use
