As much as we love summer, we do not love some of the pests that come out during this season. In our home, we try to be conscious of what we are putting back into our environment. That includes what types of products we use on ourselves, our children and pets, and the method we use to disperse them. Aerosol products are convenient but hard on our environment.
Bug Off can be worn diffused in place of a citronella candle outside or it can be dabbed around your deck or outdoor space to repel insects. We like to make this into a roller bottle to roll on ankles before walks by putting 30 drops in a 10 mL bottle and topping with fractionated coconut oil. We also make a bug spray for our cabin by putting 40 drops of Bug Off in an amber spray bottle, along with 1-2 Tbsp of witch hazel and topping up with water. Shake and spray for a chemical and aerosol free natural bug repellent.
Bug Off Essential Oil Blend contains: Citronella, Lemongrass, Tea Tree, Lavender and Peppermint
Add 4-5 drops to your Essential Oil Diffuser or you can also add a drop to your lava bead in your Aromatherapy necklace or Aromatherapy bracelet then breathe deeply. Repeat this throughout the afternoon when you need to perk up!
Cautions: We do not recommend consuming essential oils orally. Dilute before use; may cause skin irritation in some individuals, so a skin test is recommended prior to use. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. For best results Diffuse or use topically with a carrier oil.
